Here’s a short video to whet your appetite for the speeches tomorrow.
As per tradition–the roots of which I haven’t the slightest clue — Brazil will kick off the events tomorrow with a speech from President Dilma Rousseff. Then, President Obama (in his role as the head of state of the host country) will take to the podium. (That should be around 10 am or so). Other notable speakers tomorrow include French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Afghan President Hamid Karzai. You can follow all the action via UN Webcast.
