Ed note. Sustainable Energy for All is a new initiative of UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon that sets three concrete goals for humanity to achieve by 2030. This includes ensuring universal access to modern energy; doubling the rate of improvement in energy efficiency; and doubling the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.
This week, we rolling out infographics that explain each of these three goals, why they are needed, and how we can achieve them. Tuesday’s graphic explained the energy efficiency goal and yesterday’s graphic depicted the challenge and necessity of universal energy access, Today’s info graphic offers a look at what it takes to double renewable energy sources.
